EAST LANSING - Advanced Battery Concepts was a triple winner in the 2009 Great Lakes Entrepreneur’s Quest business-plan writing contest. The clean tech company won first place in the New Business Idea category, plus won the special Automation Alley Advanced Manufacturing and Next Energy green business concept awards.

ANN ARBOR - Great Lakes Entrepreneur’s Quest set a record on March 30 when 170 teams applied to compete in the spring 2009 business-plan writing contest. The previous mark was 111 applications set in in winter 2008. GLEQ also heard on this week that the Michigan Economic Development Corp. will provide the contest with two more years of funding.
